"Initially we were planning for the MMO expansion to be the final thing we did for Goat Simulator," designer Armin Ibrisagic explained. GoatZ is the second add-on for the open-world caprine caper after the free World of Warcraft-inspired Goat MMO Simulator.

It will also contain a "completely realistic survival mode" where you have to "eat every damn five minutes to survive because Dean Hall & Garry Newman said so". There's a big new map, a crafting system and plenty more goats to unlock. You can expect more of Goat Simulator's broken physics, buggy gameplay and general nonsense - perfect for a few hours of fun.

Separate apps are also coming on iOS and Android for the same price. The add-on is due to launch via Steam for Windows, Mac and Linux this Thursday, 7th May priced $4.99 (UK price TBA).

Goat Simulator developer Coffee Stain Studios has announced GoatZ, a new DayZ-inspired survival expansion.
